The 2d day was the Mehendi ritual. This ritual has to be done 1 or 2 days before the indian ceremony and it’s consits basically of painting Bride’s  feet, arms and hands with Henna. Meanwhile the guests  have a great time sharing  indian food, drinks  and some bollywood dance at the end of the day. It’s also the day where  both families exchange some presents to each other.

The bride chose a bright pink indian outfit. For the hair, she wanted a natural and more informal style with some soft curls and a little bit of volume. She was gorgeous!

We had 2 brilliant henna artists. They did make a great job. Only for the bride it took more than 3 hours to paint her. The hands had lots of details and drawings as for example an indian rider with his horse or the name of Patrick hidden among the patterns. A a matter of fact, the tradition  wants that the groom later has to discover where  his name is. If he did not achieve it, then there is no present for him 🙂

Later in the evening, came the time of exchanging the presents between both families. Some men shout into a kind of shell meanwhile the ladies emit some short sounds with their mouths.

During the dinner, people could admire  a Flamenco show . It was aldo for Patrick and Reshmi a Flamenco class 🙂  And to finish the day perfectly, what  better than some vibrant dancing?
